“I love New York, even though it isn't mine, the way something has to be, a tree or a street or a house, something, anyway, that belongs to me because I belong to it.”
― Truman Capote

New York City.

It's one of those places that a plethora of people vehemently claim you will fall in love with. That it has a certain power over you and will capture your heart whole and hold it tight until you next return. That even if you're not a city lover, you surely will love this one, and may even find it hard to explain why.

They will say you have to eat the food - all the food - and 'you just gotta try it!' You will and you will be weirdly delighted and disgusted at the same time. And that's the only way to describe a lot of things in this city. And that's confusing. But it also makes perfect sense.

You will love people and loathe people. Hear stories and see them unfold. You will be exhausted and energised. Lost but so profoundly found. You will drop away all your pretences and barriers and absolutely anything holding you back, because this city will make you feel like - no, know - that absolutely anything is possible.

And they'll be right.
This is a city that feels like the world's home - your home.
And you will always return to it.
